Stephenie Meyer's Own Comic Book!

Reelz Channel has an article claiming that Stephenie Meyer will have her own comic book! Check it out:

The creative force behind The Twilight Saga, Stephenie Meyer has been selected for membership into a very exclusive club. Joining the ranks of Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Princess Diana, Meyer will be immortalized in the comic book series Female Force.

The bio comic will examine Meyer's rise to popularity with the Twilight Saga novels, the movie franchise, and her plans for the future. We have it on good authority that the story will be narrated by a very recognizable and iconic vampire. (We're guessing it won't be Lestat.) An alternate 40-page collector's edition will also include a history of Forks, Washington.

MTV has an article stating that Jennifer Love Hewitt is on Team Edward (so am i!):

Jennifer Love Hewitt may be dating Jamie Kennedy, but that doesn't mean that the "Ghost Whisperer" star isn't pining for the man who plays Edward Cullen. You see, Twilighter Hewitt is all about Team Edward.

"Who's not Team Edward?" she asked MTV News at Comic-Con, where she and her "Ghost Whisperer" co-stars talked about the fifth season of their supernatural CBS series. "There is not a girl in the world who's not Team Edward! Have you met girls who are not Team Edward? Well, they are not girls! They're aliens from another planet who should not be allowed to exist."

I'm Back!

Hey everyone! I'm back! I hope you were able to get all of your Twilight fix without me. So, as promised, here is some:

Chris and Geo from Twilighters.org were fortunate enough to attend the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con while I was away at camp. They received a card that said that the soundtrack from New Moon will be released October 13, waaaaay too early than when the movie comes out. So make sure to preorder it in case you haven't or make sure to buy it first in your local retailer store.

15 Things About Robert Pattinson

A lucky insider from Hollywood.com got to visit the 'New Moon' set, here's what she learned:

1. Robert Pattinson is a sugar hound. There was a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups wrapper on the seat of Pattinson’s on-set chair and a can of Coke on the armrest. I toyed with the idea of stealing the items for some cash on eBay, but both were gone the next time I walked by. Did he finish them? Throw the rest away? We’ll never know. I drew the line at digging through his garbage.

2. Like the rest of the cast, Pattinson’s canvas director’s chair had his character’s name (that would be “Edward Cullen”) embroidered on the backrest. On Robert’s chair, however, “Edward Cullen” was covered with yellow tape, on which “ROBERT” was written in bold black marker. Seems our fantasy boy likes to keep things "real."

3. I watched Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Robert film a scene in the Volturri lair. During this dramatic play-by-play, Robert wears an ankle-length maroon cloak very bathrobe in its design. It appeared to be velvet, but I couldn’t get close enough to touch him. It. I mean it.

'New Moon' On The Rise

Here is a new picture from 'New Moon', I can only guess that this is the part before she sees the Cullen car on her driveway, before she meets Alice. Check it out:

Reporting from Vancouver, Canada -- Robert Pattinson is having an Obi-Wan Kenobi moment. Inside a soundstage where "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" is shooting, the lanky English heartthrob stands in front of a tall, wide green screen murmuring a tender admonition, "You promised me nothing reckless." Motion capture cameras hurtle toward him across a length of track affixed to the stage floor, while a team of technicians studies his stance and the tilt of his head.

The plan is to digitally insert Pattinson, who plays swoony good guy vampire Edward Cullen, into a scene that was filmed much earlier -- one in which he appears as a spectral vision to his costar, Kristen Stewart, cautioning her headstrong character, Bella Swan, against hanging out with some unsavory-looking biker types. For the effect to work, Pattinson's image will need to be dropped in at exactly the right position, so despite the cast and crew nearing the end of a very long early May day, perfectionism is still the standard.

A recent press release from the Quileute Nation has highlighted a very disturbing set of recent events. According to them, one Twilight fan took anticipation for ' The Twilight Saga: New Moon' a little too far.

Says the release, "A Twilight fan visiting Quileute from Georgia was rescued from an island they surmised could be the location where the main character Bella Swan goes cliff diving in the 2nd book of the Twilight saga New Moon."

Twilight Turned Manga?

This just in! Korean artist Young Kim has agreed to work with Stephenie Meyer on the Twilight Graphic Novel, check it out:

For those of you who can’t get enough Edward and Bella, EW can announce — exclusively — that Yen Press will be publishing Twilight in graphic-novel form, publication date still to be determined. Though Korean artist Young Kim is creating the art, Meyer herself is deeply immersed in the project, reviewing every panel. Take a close look at the biology-class sketch we’ve obtained (that’s an empty dialogue bubble between their heads, if you’re wondering). What’s interesting to me is that it doesn’t look simply like an artist’s rendering of Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson.

'New Moon' Comic-Con '09

MTV has an article with the schedule for the 2009 'New Moon' Comic-Con taking place in San Diego:

'New Moon' (Thursday at 1:45 p.m., Hall H) — As anyone who owns the DVD has seen in the bonus features, "Twilight" mania erupted last year at Comic-Con, as the seemingly little-known film inspired die-hards to line up in record numbers. Now, San Diego is ready for "New Moon" mania, and our own Hollywood crush will even be embedding a reporter to camp out with the Twilighters, providing up-to-the-minute experiences while waiting in line. As your home for all things "Twilight," you can trust MTV to be all over this panel like Jasper Hale on Bella's bloody finger. The cast of "Astro Boy" and "Sorority Row" will also be participating in the panel, answering such probing questions as "When will Robert Pattinson walk onstage?"

New 'New Moon' Video

Reelz Channel has a an article about the newly resurface video from the shooting in Italy:

Footage of New Moon being filmed in Montepulciano, Italy, has surfaced online. In the nearly nine-minute long clip, Bella (Kristen Stewart) can be seen running through the square on her way to stop Edward's (Robert Pattinson) attempted vampire suicide.

Also present is Alice (Ashley Greene) and her yellow Porsche 911 Turbo, along with many extras dressed in red for the St. Marcus Day festivities. What do you think, Twilighters? Is this how you imagined the scene in Volterra?

Twilight VS. Harry Potter--Who Has The Hottest Stars?

With the Harry Potter pandemonium sliding in for a dramatic comeback, many HP vs. Twilight polls have slowly been posted all over the web, and The Improper.com isn't staying left behind:

The High School Musical 3 actress and Lautner will join Kristen Bell, Emma Roberts and Dancing With The Stars champion Shawn Johnson at the ceremony.

Mr. Pattinson, I'm told, has landed himself on the cover of probably the most coveted of monthlies—Vanity Fair!

No word yet on if he's even been shot for VF, but I think it's safe to assume it will be out this fall in conjunction with the November release of New Moon.

Hi all. Okay, some of you hardcore lion-lambforever members know that I already made my Twilight inspired playlist. If you haven't, click HERE. Back to business, I am now starting on my New Moon playlist. I only have a few ideas--A FEW--but I'm going to need your guys' help. I need songs that reflect the story of New Moon. Give me songs that are mildly depressing, the kind of depressing that would give people an idea of how Bella felt when Edward left her. I don't want songs that say stuff like cutting themselves, or committing suicide. Nothing like that, something deeper but that doesn't involve anything physical harm (because let's face it, Bella was depressed but not depressed enough to go jump off a cliff or anything. Oh, wait...). I will NOT accept anything that has RAP, MILEY CYRUS, THE JONAS BROTHERS, OR ANYTHING DISNEY RELATED. Other than that, send me anything you want. It has been a while since the last time I posted anything—I hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to bring your attention to a couple of things.

First, in case you didn't see it, New Moon: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion is already available for pre-order (even though the cover art has not been released). For those of you who haven't seen the Twilight Companion, it is filled with high-quality images and behind-the-scenes information. Please note that Stephenie does not write these books, but I really enjoyed the first one.

Also, Random House (the company who produces the Twilight audiobooks) is hosting another contest through their subsidiary suvudu.com. They will be giving away the entire Twilight series on audio books (you must be a resident of the United States and 18 years of age or older to enter). Please note that this contest is not at all affiliated with StephenieMeyer.com, although I do enjoy listening to the audio books.
