EEEEEE!!! *total fangirl scream* I can't wait! Click pics for larger image.

Hey guys, great news! The Host is on its way to the big screen! I'm so excited to be working with Nick Weschler, and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz to bring The Host to a visual format. They've all been a dream to work with, so lovely and collaborative, and I feel like we're in a really good place to make a great movie together. And then to have Andrew Niccol writing and directing? Truly awesome. If you've never seen Gattaca, go watch it now. One of my favorite movies of all time. It's such a great example of character driven science fiction, which is ideal for The Host, no? I'm having an absolute blast imagining different dream casts, which I would post if people didn't take my silly blogs so seriously these days. I'm looking forward to seeing the cast lists you come up with in the fansite forums, and if any of them match mine. So, very exciting. Yay Host!
XO
Steph

When it comes to some of the biggest movies of the decade, Guinness World
Records has it covered. JJ Abram’s re-imagination of Star Trek made it into
this year’s book as the “Most Downloaded Movie Trailer (24 Hours)” with 1.8
million downloads on Apple.com in the first day and more than five million in
its first five days of release. Twilight, directed by Catherine Hardwicke, has
captured the hearts and wallets of millions while claiming the record for
“Highest-Grossing Movie By A Female Director”.
Congratulations Catherine!

Fans asked and Summit Entertainment has delivered. The second full-length “New Moon” trailer contains everything the first teaser trailer and the “Meet Jacob Black” trailer have not: more Volturi, more werewolves and more visions of Edward. The newest trailer is being shown before screenings of “Sorority Row” (out today), but an extended version will also be exclusively shown at the VMAs on Sunday, presented by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
If the focus of the “New Moon” teaser trailer was on the breakup, and the focus of “Meet Jacob Black” was, obviously, to introduce a new werewolf Jacob, then the focus of this newest trailer is on what comes next. Most of the clip is set in Italy at the end of the film, when Bella is (spoiler!) trying to stop Edward from killing himself by turning himself over to the Volturi.

Celebrities are good at a lot of things: self-promotion, engaging us in engagement speculation, having MINDBLOWING hair ROBERT PATTINSON. But one thing they can’t be depended upon to do is SIT THEIR ASSES DOWN all by themselves. Here’s an inside look at the seat cards for the 2009 MTV VMAs, so all of the celebrities and guests know where to sit and the cameras know where to capture that perfect “Oh-seriously-I’m-so-happy-for-you!” face when their competition wins. (Cough cough Gaga versus Beyonce!)
View the pics HERESee where Katy Perry, Gaga, Paramore, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Janet Jackson, and more VMA guests will sit! (I love how Cobra Starship appears to get one seat for five people, while Death Cab For Cutie gets four separate seats! Also, keep in mind that suprise guests don’t usually get seat cards if you catch what I’m saying… )

The official Stephenie Meyer Day is Sunday, Sept. 13 — the date of Bella’s birthday — but Forks events will begin the day before.
Planned for the weekend are $3 tours of Forks High School — where the fictional Swan and her vampire boyfriend, Edward Cullen attended school — as well as plenty of music, a look-alike contest, group photographs, a bonfire at First Beach, a scavenger hunt, and of course, a birthday cake for Bella.

The second "Twilight" movie is arriving early in northern Utah, sort of.
Click HERE to read the rest! The theme of Utah's largest corn maze this year is "New Moon," the sequel in the popular Twilight saga.
Although the movie doesn't arrive in theaters until Nov. 20, this 24-acre corn maze opens Sept. 24 and continues through Oct. 31.
Aerial photos show that two separate "Twilight"-themed maze patterns at Black Island Farms, 3178 S. 3000 West, have already been cut into the corn — a "Team Jacob" and a "Team Edward." (In the movie, Bella can choose Edward or Jacob as her boyfriend.)
Get your tickets now!!Alright all you Twilighters out there, for those of you who are already preparing your trip to the movie theater to see The Twilight Saga: New Moon this November, you can now do so safe in the knowledge that you’re guaranteed a seat. Tickets for the midnight screenings of New Moon have now gone on sale more than two and half months in advance.
Carmike Cinemas are offering tickets for midnight showings of New Moon on November 19th, at 63 of their 247 theaters. This “early sell” campaign is happening much in the same vein as the (WAY) advanced sale of tickets for James Cameron’s Avatar. Early word is that the Avatar pre-sales are being described as “healthy.”
